Immunoadsorbent for the Isolation of Pasteurella tularensis-Specific Antibodies.
نویسنده
چکیده
The Schu-5 strain of Pasteurella tularensis was cross-linked with tetra-azotized benzidine and employed for the isolation of purified specific antibodies. The isolation procedure increased the content of specifically precipitable antibodies at least 40-fold.

Effect of vaccine, route, and schedule on antibody response of rabbits to Pasteurella tularensis.
The response of the rabbit to viable or killed whole-cell Pasteurella tularensis vaccines was studied. The most practical preparation for the production of anti-P. tularensis antibodies was viable organisms of the live vaccine strain (LVS). The intravenous route of administration proved superior to either the subcutaneous or intradermal routes, and incorporation of LVS into Freund's adjuvants d...
متن کاملInhibitory effect of grid imprints on growth of Pasteurella tularensis on membrane filters.
The use of membrane filters has gained importance as a unique and effective technique for the cultivation and isolation of microorganisms. These filters have been used for the enumeration of coliform bacteria (Clark and Kabler, 1952), the demonstration of Salmonela typhosa in well water (Collet et al., 1953), and for the isolation of Brucella abortm from blood (Braun and Kelsh, 1954). In additi...
متن کاملDetection of air-borne Pasteurella tularensis using the fluorescent antibody technique.
Considerable research has been directed toward the development of rapid methods for the identification of air-borne microorganisms. The application of the fluorescent antibody technique (FAT) coupled with the impaction of contaminated air onto glass slides affords a rapid and specific method for the identification of air-borne Pasteurella tularensis. Early experiments presented problems of cros...
متن کاملChemically defined medium for the growth of Pasteurella tularensis.
Chemically defined media for the growth of Pasteurella tularensis have been described by Tamura and Fleming (1949) and more recently by Giesken (1954), Mager et al. (1954), and Traub et al. (1955). Upon application of the latter medium (Traub et al.) for the growth of a virulent strain of P. tularensis, it was noted that the viable cell yields were markedly lower than yields previously obtained...
